The two bedrooms we had the opportunity to design and make were intended to have the atmosphere of warm and cosy rooms. We achieved this effect by introducing one main material - natural oak veneer. The cabinetry seamlessly combines the functions of storage, a comfortable sleeping area and a place to work.

In the larger bedroom, a capacious wardrobe is housed behind fluted, ceiling-length sliding doors. The hiding of the wardrobes not only does not 'take up' space in the bedroom area, but also cleverly utilises the underexposed space in the recess of the room.

Realising that there can never be too much storage space, we have skilfully tucked away wardrobes in the hallway, which, painted in the same shade of white, blend in with the hallway space. Doors without a lintel optically enlarge the space.

The realisation is an example of how, through careful planning and choice of materials, minimalist residential interiors can be made stylistically coherent, non-monotonous and, above all, warm.
